What stage should my idea be in to apply?
You can apply from very early pre-seed stages (TRL-1 / basic principles observed) up to seed. If you have an idea or an initial validated problem that can be solved through technology, automation, and AI, we can help you unlock its full potential.
Do I need to have a technical team already formed?
It is not indispensable. Our Venture Studio has a multidisciplinary technical and sectoral ecosystem. We can provide everything from data analysts and artificial intelligence specialists to experts in go-to-market strategy, regulatory validation, and business model design. We integrate with you from the start to build a tailored team according to your project’s needs.
What does the program cost and how does the Code-for-Equity model work?
The Code-for-Equity model means that we provide the technical development and necessary resources in exchange for a previously agreed equity stake.
Do you provide support to obtain grants and public funding?
Yes. We have a network of specialized partners who advise and accompany you throughout the process to access national and international grants, European programs, and R&D tax credits. You will not be alone in the most complex part of public funding.
Does Goo Ventures provide financial investment in addition to technical development?
Yes, we always work under a transparent model: the GooApps® agency invoices the startup for the project and the team involved in development. To do so, we contribute and invest capital.
In the case of the Code-for-Equity model, the operation is the same: the GooApps® agency invoices exactly the same amount to the startup, but that amount is capitalized and transformed into an equity stake in the company. In this way, we bet together on the success of the project, sharing risks and benefits.
What happens if my project does not achieve the necessary validation during the process?
Our model is designed to minimize risks. We work with agile methodologies that allow us to pivot and adjust the strategy quickly, ensuring that you can maximize learnings and opportunities, even in adverse scenarios.
What happens if my project does not meet Goo Ventures’ investment criteria?
No problem. Even if your project does not fit our investment criteria at this moment, we can guide you towards other avenues and connect you with agencies, programs, or collaborators that can help you develop and mature it.
Is my idea safe?
Yes. We manage the confidentiality of all projects with responsibility and seriousness. We have confidentiality agreements (NDAs) and internal processes that guarantee the protection of your idea at all times.
We have achieved incredible reach, more than 1,300 users within 4 months of launch, which was a figure we expected to reach in a year.
