La Ruta Azul (also known as “Encajamos Diferente”) is a digital application powered by artificial intelligence for the early detection and therapy of childhood neurodevelopmental disorders, especially ASD. Born out of the clinical experience of Amado Pediatric Clinic in Pontevedra, the app was developed in collaboration with GooApps® to expand access to accurate diagnoses and personalized therapies.
The project is led by Dr. Alfonso Amado Puentes, pediatric neurologist, and Dr. Natalia Carro Padín, speech therapist specialized in ASD, who, together with their team, designed a platform that analyzes questionnaires and videos provided by families to generate a preliminary diagnosis and a gamified therapeutic pathway. This tool enables remote intervention, clinical monitoring, and community support for families.
La Ruta Azul was recognized as the winning project of the AI & mHealth Challenge 2024 organized by GooApps® (award: €3,000 and funding for the development of an MVP valued at more than €30,000).
