QuickVaccine is a digital application that generates personalized vaccination plans for adults based on their age, travel destination, immune status, and medical treatments. The tool was created within the Ramón y Cajal Institute for Health Research (IRYCIS) as an innovative solution to promote immunization in the adult population, historically underserved.
The project is led by Dr. Abelardo Fernández Chávez, together with Dr. Paloma Moreno Núñez, Dr. Miriam Roncal Redin, Dr. Moisés David Espejo Mambié, and Dr. Jesús María Aranaz Andrés, all members of the Preventive Medicine Department at Ramón y Cajal Hospital and researchers in the Health Outcomes Research group at IRYCIS.
The app was designed and developed by the GooApps® team, specialists in mobile solutions for the healthcare sector. It is also backed by leading scientific organizations such as the Spanish Association of Vaccinology (AEV), the National Association of Nursing and Vaccines (ANENVAC), SEPI+, the Madrid Society of Preventive Medicine (SMMP), and the Spanish Society of Preventive Medicine, Public Health, and Healthcare Management.
Dr. Fernández Chávez notes:
“Our mission is not only to treat diseases but to prevent them. Adult immunization has long been neglected, and with QuickVaccine we aim to strengthen the culture of prevention in healthcare.”
