ToREIMC

ToREIMC is an application developed in collaboration between CoREIMC (the Residents and Young Specialists Commission of SEIMC) and GooApps®, under the Goo Ventures umbrella, to promote training in infectious diseases and clinical microbiology through gamification. Designed for medical residents and young specialists, the app leverages real clinical cases and interactive questions, generating rankings, achievements, and competitive dynamics that facilitate practical learning and knowledge retention.

The concept originated with Dr. Andrés Blanco Di Matteo, an Internal Medicine specialist, who identified the lack of a regulated medical specialty in this field in Spain. The content was endorsed by the Spanish Society of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology (SEIMC) and CoREIMC, ensuring rigor and relevance.

GooApps® was responsible for the design, technological development, and product coordination, adopting an agile methodology based on sprints. The MVP launch was completed in just 3–4 months, meeting both time and functionality objectives.

Since its launch, ToREIMC has surpassed 1,300 integrated users in just four months, consolidating itself as a leading training tool in Spain and Latin America.

An educational and impact-driven Venture-as-a-Service case

ToREIMC perfectly illustrates how Goo Ventures transforms valuable clinical ideas into accessible digital solutions. Through the Venture-as-a-Service model, we have:

  • Identified a real need in medical training
  • Co-created the application with CoREIMC and SEIMC
  • Developed the MVP with a rapid and cost-controlled methodology
  • Aligned interests with the scientific society through institutional collaboration

The project has generated real impact, academic visibility, and an active community, demonstrating how technology can strengthen both medical training and professional networks.
